You can check with the LA Dept. of Public Safety's Office of Motor Vehicles for such information. The LA Dept. of Insurance does not have insurance information on personal vehciles.

I am trying to find out what type of Insurance i will need to have to cover a child with a Learner's License. Do I have to carry additional insurance or will a child not need insurance coverage until an actual license is received?

Where can I find a consumer complaint form?

You can file a formal consumer complaint with our office in order for us to open an investigation. You can obtain a complaint form from our website or we can mail you one if you provide your mailing address. On the website click on Consumers, then click on "Have an Insurance Complaint?" which will take you to all of the information on complaint forms. If the complaint form applies to your problem, click on Download a Complaint Form.
