Urgent: Update Medicaid Contact Info or Risk Getting Kicked Off

Medicaid recipients are urged to stay vigilant as Louisiana Medicaid begins eligibility reviews this month. During the COVID-19 health emergency, eligibility requirements for Medicaid were changed due to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. If your Medicaid coverage was extended due to the health emergency, your eligibility will be reevaluated. If you’re a Medicaid recipient, keep your contact information up to date with Medicaid and monitor your mail for important information regarding renewals.

If you have questions or need further assistance, contact Louisiana Medicaid at 1-888-342-6207. Click here to view a directory of Medicaid regional offices.

Property Insurance Market Update

Eight new companies that have been approved to participate in the Insure Louisiana Incentive Program may begin writing new property insurance policies this spring.

Homeowners who have a policy with Louisiana Citizens or who have been unable to find affordable insurance should contact an insurance agent to request quotes. Click here to use the LDI Agent Search Tool for help finding an agent.

Distracted Driving

Distracted driving is a dangerous practice that can have deadly consequences. It is illegal to use a cell phone to text or post to a social networking site while operating a vehicle on a public road or highway in Louisiana. There are steps you can take now to make travel safer for you and other drivers.

  • Maintain the speed limit.
  • Keep your eyes on the road.
  • Buckle up.
  • Speak with teen drivers about the dangers of distracted driving.

April is National Distracted Driving Awareness month. Let’s work together to park dangerous driving practices.
